The Staff Pastor Parish Relations committee would like to welcome Linda Rogers into her new position of Church Secretary.  Linda has been a life-long member of our church and will be a welcome addition to our staff. Please join me in welcoming Linda and extending our good wishes to her in this new position. Welcome Linda.

The Staff Pastor Parish Relations committee would also like to truly thank Sandie Bichler for her efforts this last year as our Church Secretary. Sandie came out of retirement to help us get the church office back into shape and ease some of the workload from Pastor Nola. Sandie has been a pleasure to work and will be missed (again). Sandie will be working with Linda to show her “the ropes” over the next couple of weeks.

Thank you so much Sandie for your commitment and dedication to Sarah Jane.

Egypt – Joseph’s Journey from Prison to Palace

Participation in Summer Fun Week has exceeded our expectations this year.  We planned for 40 participants and have had close to 50 children who have participated.  It is all possible because of the grace of God and the many adult and youth volunteers who have stepped up to help from Boulevard and Sarah Jane Johnson Memorial United Methodist Churches.  Pastor Tony and I thank all the kitchen staff, shopkeepers, costume makers, family leaders, registration team members, activity leaders, drama team members, and youth assistants for a job well done.

Do you like meeting new people?  Wish it could be you behind that table making people happy passing out delicious snacks?  Maybe you wish you had a reason to share Grandma’s secret brownies?  Well wonder no more!  Here’s your chance to do part or all of those things!  If you are interested in hosting and or baking for the Fellowship time following the Traditional Service, please contact the church office for details.

It’s easy-peasy and you’ll go home every time with an overwhelming sense of satisfaction from having participated in this wonderful ministry of hospitality for Sarah Jane.  

We need adult volunteers to be Family Leaders, Shopkeepers, Game leaders, Registration staff, Kitchen staff, and Drama team members.  We need youth volunteers (grade 7-12) to be family aides and shop assistants.  You can register to volunteer or participate by going to www.sjjumc.com and clicking on the Summer Fun tab near the top left of the page.  If you don’t have internet access you can pick up a form at the back of the sanctuary or call the church (797-3938).
