Connection Groups

This Lent we launched our Connection Group initiative with a study of True Spirituality According to Jesus.  Three Connection Groups have decided to continue with additional study topics.  One group meets on Wednesday at 10:00 AM and the other two groups meet at 6:30 PM on Tuesday and Thursday.  Adults are encouraged and welcome to join any of the Connection Groups listed.  If you wish to be part of a Connection Group but cannot meet during the times of these [...]

Our Faith Quest journey is wrapping up for the school year on Sunday June 12th. The children and youth are excited to be able to lead our worship on Pentecost this year. Sarah’s Shop – Getting Closer to Opening Day!

You may not have ever seen this small room off the gymnasium before. It has been the storage base of  the UMW’s rummage sale items. The green walls are now being transformed by white paint. The Medical Supply Room, directly above Sarah’s Shop, has been cleaned and the walls and cupboards are also being painted. Youth Fund Raising & Fun

The Sarah Jane Johnson UMYF has been very active with fundraising for their spring and summer trips.  We just finished having our annual Valentine’s Fudge sale and are planning a bottle drive. Journey to the Cross

This spring we are offering a special opportunity for people to experience Easter.  Journey to the Cross is designed to give families and individuals an amazing experience where they will travel through five multisensory, engaging stations that deliver the message of Easter in an unforgettable and personal way.   It will be presented on Saturday April 2, 2011 from 1:00 -5:00 PM.  We will need volunteers to staff the event.  There will be a sign-up display in the parlor beginning Sunday [...]

SJJ Connection Group

You are invited to participate in a Connection Group beginning in March.  Connection Groups are small gatherings of people who meet on a regular basis for friendship, spiritual growth, and encouragement in their walk with God.  Each gathering consists of six to ten people coordinated by a host and led by a facilitator.  Typically there is a time of socializing followed by study, discussion and prayer. Lord’s Table- Going Strong

The Lord’s Table Dinner, which is held on Tuesday nights, is still a vital piece of Sarah Jane’s outreach ministry. Chef Michael Haynes prepares a meal for approximately 100-125 people which is nutritious, delicious and appealing to the eye!  This free meal, begins with a time of devotion led  by Pastor Nola. Lilies for Lent & Easter

The Altar Guild is responsible for the care and preparation of the altars, linens, brass, candles and flowers. Operating with a small team, they work closely with the Pastor. Being on the Altar Guild gives the opportunity for  wonderful fellowship as you share in getting to know each other and working together. Sarah’s Shop’s vision is to provide good clothing for an affordable price, but this cannot be done without everyone’s help. We need people to assist customers, be a cashier and sort donations.
