SUMMER FUN WEEK

On June 24, 2010, in Church Share

We’re looking for folks willing to time-travel.  Are you willing to “spend a while on the Nile?” Our Summer Fun Week, Egypt-Joseph’s Journey from prison to palace will be here before you know it.  It will be held Sunday August 8th –Thursday August 12th from 5:30 – 8:30 PM at Sarah Jane Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church.  Kids entering Kindergarten through 6th grade are invited to participate.  Participants will see, hear, touch, and even taste what it was like to live in Pharaoh’s empire! You’ll explore authentic Marketplace shops, visit Joseph, take part in games, sing & dance to lively Bible songs, and sample tasty tidbits as you discover more about how God was with Joseph in good times and bad.  These experiences make God’s Word come alive with new meaning for all who participate!

We need adult volunteers to be Family Leaders, Shopkeepers, Game leaders, Registration staff, Kitchen staff, and Drama team members.  We need youth volunteers (grade 7-12) to be family aides and shop assistants.  You can register to volunteer or participate by going to www.sjjumc.com and clicking on the Summer Fun tab near the top left of the page.  If you don’t have internet access you can pick up a form at the back of the sanctuary or call the church (797-3938).

Summer Fun Week is sponsored by Boulevard United Methodist Church and Sarah Jane Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church.
