SJJMUMC Mission Statement
We the people of Sarah Jane Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church claim for our mission the following:
To reach out to our local and world community with the Good News of Jesus Christ through acts of love and radical hospitality.
To connect people to God with the trans-formative experiences of dynamic worship, the sacraments, prayer and frequent fellowship with believers to bring spiritual healing and wholeness in their lives.
To equip Christian disciples with inspired teaching, the persistent study of scripture, meaningful conversation, spiritual discernment and gift development empowering disciples to actively live as ambassadors of Christ.
To this end, we accept the village of Johnson City as the primary focus of our mission and pledge those resources of the history, building, finances, leadership and talents which have been so generously granted to us by the grace of God.
